Before being referred by my PCM, my medical clinic took x-rays. I gave my x-rays to reception upon check in, after filling out new PT paperwork and waiting for about 45min, the nurse escorted me to a room.
Do yourself a favor. Find another podiatrist. They are better practices and doctors out there that have both: brains and bedside manner.
We agreed we'd do a steroid injection. Well, I'll never do that again!! Holy Hell that hurt!! I'll keep my follow- up appointment, but hopefully that's the last interaction I'm going to have with them.
Afterwards, I was taken back to my exam room to wait for Dr. Jones. She comes in and explains my images. I'm trying to focus on what she's explaining, but all I can hear is the loud music & chatter between the staff. I asked her politely to shut the door and she gave me the response that it was policy that they keep the door open. Not only did I feel completely upset that I felt as if my privacy isn't being respected nor my patient's rights, but being ignored and not taken seriously as a person.
She then tells me they're going to take x-rays. I gave her a puzzled look, told her she has them since I submitted them when I checked in, but apparently they weren't sufficient. She told me she was just doing what the doctor ordered.
